My Take on Stamping 411 Sketch Challenge 225

Here is my take on Stamping 411's Sketch Challenge 225:

I used a base of Basic Gray Cardstock then added a layer of Cherry Cobbler. I took two small pieces of Basic Gray and ran them through my Big Shot in the Polka Dots Textured Impressions Folder. I stamped images from "The Sounding Joy". The star I stamped in Basic Gray Ink and then the Joy in Cherry Cobbler all on Whisper White CS and inked the edges with Cherry Cobbler. I took Bakers Twine and wrapped it around and then tied a Mini Jingle Bell onto the front.

I just LOVE the Top Note die....I forget to use it tho....so today I thought WOW this Love Letters DSP would look great in Top Note style...and then the Scalloped Circles I did out of that same line of DSP and just punched them out of the pattern! A super easy card with, I think, a touch of elegance.

Riding Hood Red Cardstock base with Love Letters DSP cut in Top Note and Scalloped Circle. Basic Black Tafeta Ribbon and sentiment from the "Because I Care" stamp set in Basic Black ink on Very Vanilla CS punched with the Modern Label punch.

I made this card today for a family friend's wife in the loss of her husband.

followed the PPA77 sketch

I used a card base of Very Vanilla CS, The DSP is all from the Springtime Vintage collection. I added Always Artichoke and Baja Breeze to the mix inking is all done in Always Artichoke. I used the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder for texture. I also added a Vintage Brad for the Scalloped Circle flower. The sentiments and flowering branch images are from the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set.

I started with a base of Crumb Cake CS then I added a layer of Soft Suede and topped that with a piece of Soft Suede Patterns DSP(retired) and ripped the bottom edge and inked that a bit. I then added a small piece of So Saffron ribbon. The last lil topper is made with CrumbCake CS and So Saffron CS both inked with Soft Suede Ink. I stamped the giraffe with the sentiment from It's the Thought stamp set.

Holiday Lineup Card

I can't help but just LOVE these cute reindeer! I used a base of textured Real Red Cardstock. A layer of Chocolate Chip Textured CS and then smooth Whisper White rounded corners then a layer of Real Red Textured CS with rounded Corners. The reindeer are from the Holiday Lineup set and I stamped them with Versamark Ink and heat embossed them with black embossing powder. I colored them in with the Stampin' Write Markers. I added a bit of red glitter to Rudolph's nose:) I popped the center of the image up with dimensionals after using my circle punch to punch it out. Looks even cuter in person!

A Few More Chistmas Cards

I am in a Christmas Mood this week! Ok so it's only Monday but I have been in a Christmas mood for a week:) Here are a few more I made this afternoon.

This first one has an Old Olive CS Base with a layer of Real Red embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots folder. This is topped with a strip of Old Olive Satin Ribbon and then another layer of Real Red but this one is embossed with the Square Lattice folder. I stamped the elves from Holiday Lineup set in Versamark on Whisper White CS, then heat embossed it with black embossing powder. I colored them in with Old Olive, Real Red and Cocolate Chip Stampin' Write Markers:) I popped up that layer with Dimensionals.

Another Card with the elves from Holiday Lineup:) Just love these lil fellas! I stamped them in versamark ink on Whisper White Cardstock, colored them in with Real Red, Old Olive and Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write markers. I adhered them to the Old Olive Top Note diecut and layered that on the layer of Whisper White that had been embossed with the Petals a Pretty Embossing folder. These layers were wrapped up with a Real Red Satin Ribbon and topped with a bow:) The base is Old Olive Cardstock. I also stamped the very merry from the Short and Sweet set at the bottom in Real Red ink.

This card was inspired by a picture of a card I saw in a magazine that had been made using colored tape. Well my oldestdaughter and I decided we'd make our own version! I made 5 of these for a "set". I started with the small Whisper White notecard and added a strip of Chocolate Chip CS for the "trunk" I ran the Old Olive CS thru the Bigshot with the background texture plates for a lil bit of texture. I then cut it into strips of differing lengths and then adhered them to make the "tree". I stamped a star from a retired set in versamark on some retired YoYo Yellow CS and heat embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder then cut it out with Paper Snips. The "packages" are scraps of Real Red CS embossed using the Square Lattice folder. I made the bows from Twine and adhered them using small glue dots.

Hope ya'll are enjoying these Christmas Cards. I sure am having a blast!

PPA64-Fall Inspiration

Over at Pals Paper Arts they had this awesome Fall Photo as inspiration for their challenge this week.
Here is my take on this inspiration photo...The colors the greens and yellows along with the cream from her sweater and the apricotish color thread blended right in and the whispy "falling" look of the scrap of paper just fit.

For this card I used River Rock CS as my base then added scraps from my stash. I punched the scalloped strip with the SU Scallop Edge punch and I used some retired CS and stamped the sentiment from Whimsical Words stamp set in garden green ink on (ret) Apricot Appeal CS and punched it with the scalloped circle punch and layered that on a Very Vanilla Scalloped Circle and popped it up with dimensionals. I sewed with apricot colored thread from my stash with the zigzag stitch. I hope ya'll enjoy this card. The colors to me are so soothing.

Stampin' 411 Sketch 173

Over at Stamping 411 they released Sketch #173 today! I was so excited to try it out! I had stamped these cute lil snowmen from Holiday Lineup set earlier in the day and heat embossed them with black embossing powder. I had colored them in using Real Red and Bashful Blue Stampin' Write Markers. When I saw the sketch it was perfect for my cute lil snowmen!

I just love these guys! and well you can't make snowmen without snow right? Soooooo....

I added snowflakes from the Northern Hearts Hostess Set and heat embossed them with

Iridescent Ice all round the Whisper White mat.

Then I needed a cute lil accent piece and of course that snowflake in Iridescent Ice was soooo pretty I decided to stamp one and emboss it on a Bashful Blue scrap and punched it out with a circle punch and popped it up with dimensionals.

All these elements together makeup this one very wintery card:) I love how the Iridescent Ice makes the snowflakes sparkle like they are falling in sunshine:)

And the Whisper White ribbon my oldest daughter picked to go across the bottom to accent the white:)

Here is my take on the fabulous sketch #172 over at Stamping 411

I used Crumb Cake Cardstock for the base of the card then layered Baja Breeze Cardstock then wrapped that layer with a piece of Real Red Satin Ribbon. I then used dimensionals to pop up the layer of Crumb Cake and a scrap of the Candy Cane Christmas DSP.

I then stamped the "Merry Christmas", from the "Come to Bethlehem" stamp set, in Real Red ink.

Hey there! I neglected to post last month's project from Judi's meeting and I now have another meeting to update ya'll about! LOL Time sure does fly! Ok here goes:

First off the August Meeting @ Judi's we made these adorable gift card holders!

Outside Inside

Judi had precut the Cardstock and DSP for us isn't she sweet?!?! :) and we used pieces cut from the Top Note Die. We LOVED this project...I'll get the directions all ready for ya:) She gave them to us I just have yet to type them onto here for you all...baaaaad demo that I am!

Pals Paper Arts Challenge PPA55

For this card I used the Challenge colors Cardstock and inks. I stamped the images using Very Thankful Stamp Set. I used the new paper flowers and colored them with inks and blender pens. I also added some of the new rhinestones from SU.

I made this card for the Pals Paper Arts Challenge PPA55. This challenge was to use Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight.

Stamping 411 Color Challenge 136

Here are a couple cards I made this week for the Stamping 411 Color Challenge : Blushing Bride, Perfect Plum, and Sahara Sand:)

I used Sahara Sand as the base for this card and layered Perfect Plum and Blushing Bride punched with the Scalloped Trim Border Punch on the flap. On the front I layered a scrap of Blushing Brid with three Scalloped Cirles and layered the new Paper Flowers that I colored with Perfect Plum chalk. In the center of each flower is a Rhinestone from the new rhinestone collection.

For this card I started with a Perfect Plum Base and did a gate fold card layering Sahara Sand and Blushing Bride on the "gate" I stamped these "doors" with Versamark ink and a stamp from the Elements of Style stamp set. I then ran a square of Perfect Plum thru the Big Shot in the Lattice embossing folder and stamped a square of Sahara Sand with some Pretty in Pink ink with the "For You" stamp in the Elements of Style set. I adhered these squares to one side of the gate with dimensionals.

I hope you enjoy these cards...I enjoyed making them...:)

Sparkling Hydrangeas

The Card base is Regal Rose with layers of Whisper White and Old Olive Cardstock. I stmaped the Hydrangea from the "Because I Care" set with Melon Mambo and Old Olive inks. The ribbon is a retired Old Olive/Whisper White dotted. I used the SU's newRhinestones and Dazling Diamonds Glitter. I used the Because I Care and Well Scripted Stamp Sets.

I shaded the Hydrangea with Chocolate Chip Watercolor Wonder Crayon and Blender Pen.
The sentiment was stamped with Old Olive ink onto Regal Rose Cardstock and punched with the Scalloped Oval Punch.

12x12 LO with Beautiful Butterflies!

It's been forever since I've posted a project so here ya go!

The base of this lo is Old Olive CS. I used Cottage Wall DSP for accents and the Photo is matted in Garden Green and Certainly Celery CS. I accented with the scallop in Rich Razzleberry. I used the Beautiful Butterflies Big Shot Die and made the cute lil butterflies to accent the page. I embossed the circles using Lattice and Dots SU embossing folders and the scallop is embossed with the SU Flourish Texture Plate. Ink used is Stampin' Write Marker in Garden Green. Stampin' Dimensionals are used to pop up the butterflies from the page.

This sketch is based on a Scrapsketch sketch by Steph Vaughn.

June-Oct Hostess Club Time:)

Just a quick note to let ya know the June-Oct Hostess Club is off and running! I've received orders from a couple of you ladies and wanted to remind ya'll that we're ready to start this Club:) Sorry I've been a bit mia this month we've been SWAMPED with my kids growing up and graduating to "teen" classes which means camps and fundraisers and just all around BUSY! Then my sweetie's bloodwork came back from his cancer checkup and they sent him for a scan and his blood redrawn and while we are thankful that the scans don't show a change or any active cancer the bloodwork is still not 100% good so we're still praying for wisdom for our dr. Thank you for those who've been praying for us! I am here just haven't been bloggin much lately...Hope to be better blogger now:)

Mothers Day Cards:)

I fell in love with Not Quit Navy a while back and have paired it here with Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla as well as some Bella Bleu DSP (LOVE LOVE LOVE this DSP!) and the Not Quite Navy ribbon in the Elemantary Ribbon Originals Pack. I used Not Quite Navy Classic Ink on the lighter card and my new FAV Whisper White Craft ink on the darker card. The sentiment is from the Well Scripted set that was in the Occassions Mini. I used the Scalloped Oval Punch and I cut out some larger ovals to "ground" the scalloped ovals. I popped those up using Stampin' Dimensionals:) Our Moms loved their cards:)

I was born to be an uncle:) His nephew is a year and half older than he is and he has a neice/nephew on the way in June I used the All in the Family stamps with Whisper White Craft Ink(looooove this stuff!!!) and the white pen:) Night of Navy & Bashful Blue CS .

I've been moving the studio up to sunlight! I finally got a chance to craft a bit this weekend!

These Thank Yous are sooo tweet...LOL couldn't resist...I used the Cheep Talk stamps Kraft and Real Red Cardstock and the inks are Real Red and Basic Black. I also used the Scallop Edge Punch and Real Red Polka Dot Ribbon.

I used Sending Love DSP and cut the flowers from one of the patterned papers:) I also used Pretty In Pink and Real Red Cardstock and Real Red Ink. Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon was used as an added embellishment. I used the Whimsical Words stamp set from SaleABration. The flowers are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals:)

The bag was a custom order for my MIL to give as a gift. I used the Scallop Square Die to cut the blocks and quilted them inside the bag are pockets on the ends:) The button was one in my Grandma's Button jar:)

The card I made using So Saffron and Certainly Celery Cardstocks and the Tea Party DSP. I used the Scallop Trim Edge and Scallop Oval Punches. The stamp set is Well Scripted and the ribbon is So Saffron grosgrain from last years SAB special order:)

WOW Baby Boys are all around me! Well kinda...two families in our church have recently welcomed baby boys into their families! I made these simple little cards to honor their new additions:)

This card has a base of Bashful Blue CS and the front layers are Night Of Navy CS embossed with the new Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder from SU. I used the Modern Label Punch to punch out the Sweetness Unlimited stamp. On the inside I used the retired Congrats set from SAB09.

This second card is the same as the one above and I used Bashful Blue and Close to Cocoa for my color pallete:) All other info is the same:)

...for the Very Thankful Stamp Set. I have used it a ton already! It is one that you can get either in the regular catalog or you can get it free when you spend just $50! I'm in love with this set! I also love these DSP scraps and of course SU Cardstock is my FAVORITE!

This card base is Very Vanilla, layered with Real Red and a scrap piece of Sending Love DSP. I did a simple knot using the satin Real Red ribbon. The layered edges were punched with the Scallop Trim Edge punch available thru the end of this month with Saleabration! I used Pretty in Pink CS and Chocolate Chip ink for the sentiment from the Very Thankful stamp set, and punched it using the Modern Label punch.

This card base is also Very Vanilla. I layered a scrap of Cottage Wall DSP and a scrap of Old Olive CS using the Scallop Trim Edge Punch and added a simple knot using the Satin Old Olive Ribbon. The sentiment is stamped in Chocoalte Chip Ink and is from the Very Thankful stamp set.

I made this using fabric I found on sale and the Big Shot Scallop Square Bigz Die and my sewing machine and thread. Boy am I thankful for all the hours watching Grandma sew:) She taught me alot!!!!

Havin a blast with fabric and my Big Shot!!! I didn't realize it would be soooo easy to work with! I've been sewing since I was a kid and sew on my lo's some but WOW mixing my Big Shot dies with Fabric as well as paper is just amazing! I've made a couple custom ordered bags already and have several orders to fulfill! Here is the latest and I have the next one (Jen it's for you:) ) cut out and ready to get goin! Had to take a few days to deal with sickness in the house blah!

Can hardly wait to get into my studio!!!!

This Bag is SOOOOOO ME! LOL I picked out the fabric today and picked up some fleece batting and whipped out this (imho) Awesome bag! I made mine to have a long handle...I did make mistakes but not too bad for my first shot! I cut the squares with the Scallop Square Bigz Die for the Big Shot available thru Stampin' UP! Keep an eye out for new projects upcoming!!!!

A Valentine Card

I made this card this afternoon. I'm in love with it!

I made this business envie size card base is Whisper White CS the first layer is Textured Real Red CS embossed with a SU exclusive Texture Plate. The tic tac toe lines are made from Whisper White CS embossed with the small dots SU exclusive texture plate. The x's and o's are made with Basic Black CS. The little "love hearts" are from the I {heart} Hearts set stamped in Real Red ink on Whisper White CS. I used Basic Black Satin Ribbon for the knotted accents on top and bottom of the card front. The inside of the card is Real Red Textured CS, Basic Black CS layered with Whisper White CS both corner punched with the Ticket Corner punch. I stamped the "greeting" inside from the Whimsical Words Sale-A-Bration set. I punched the Scallop Edge on Basic Black CS and dotted each scallop with the White Gel Pen. The hearts inside are stamped using the I{heart}Hearts set on Whisper White CS in Real Red ink.

Hershy Bar Sliders

This is a Hershy Bar Slider I made this afternoon for my sweetheart for Valentines Day:)

These are SUPER EASY to make! I made 4 others this afternoon and will be doing 5 more tonight late or tomorrow afternoon for my kiddos as their gifts from Momma and Daddy!

I used Textured Real Red CS stamped using the I {heart} Hearts set in Versamark Ink for the pouch. Basic Black CS for the circle. Whisper White CS and Real Red Ink for the Hearts (I {heart} Hearts set.

Short & Sweet set in Basic Black ink for the sentiment. Whisper White/Real Red ribbon from the Mistletoe collection and Antique Brass Jumbo Eyelets.

I used a mini note card in whisper white, the Cheep Talk stamps. Courdoroy Buttons, DSP scraps and the ticket corner punch. I colored the stamps with my markers and then stamped them on whisper white and cut them out with my snips...Used lots of colors:) The kids helped pick them all:)

I used Not Quite Navy, Old Olive and Whisper White CS, Old Olive and Taken with Teal inks and Whisper White Tafeta ribbon. I used the Peacock from the Very Thankful stamp set, the Sharing in your Sorrow is from Thoughts and Prayers. I used the "Rock and Roll" Technique to get the blended colors for the inks. I also used the brocade jumbo wheel (retired) with versamark ink to give some pattern to the cardstock.

Vintage Vogue - Emboss Resist Card

We made this card with Judi last night at our Haf 2 Stamp meeting! We had a blast! Thanks Judi for sharing this awesome technique and encouraging me! I ordered this Vintage Vogue set last night with my {Stampspiration} Hostess Club order.

We started with plain Very Vanilla Cardstock, then ran the embossing buddy over it. Stamped our images using Versamark ink. Next we embossed those images with clear embossing powder. Then we took Not Quite Navy and Soft Suede inks and sponged them over the whole sheet of cardstock. We then stamped our vines and any other images in Soft Suede some with full ink and some stamped off. Next we took a tissue and rubbed the embossed images to remove the ink. This makes the embossed images POP! I didn't ink up well enough to get a good POP but it gives you the idea. I will be doing this technique again! Other cardstocks used were Not Quite Navy and Soft Suede. Soft Suede dotted ribbon was our accessory:) The stamp set is Vintage Vogue.

We also sponged and stamped the inside of our cards.

Doing a ribbon share with the new Satin Ribbons in the Occassions Mini...I'll have to figure up prices and such but is there any interest out there? It would be like a yard or two of each color per person. I haven't figured up the prices yet but I know I did a few ribbon shares a while back with the small grosgrain ribbons and those went really well and have had a few people asking about more ribbon shares...leave a comment or email and I'll add a "vote" button for interest in types of ribbon shares of interest.
